Is racquetball an NCAA sport?

Racquetball is not recognized by the NCAA.

The most frequently asked question is "When is your season?"

The season

Our racquetball club team does not play any dual or open tournaments against other club teams except in the intercollegiate national tournament that is held in late March.  That is the only tournament in which teh club enters men's and women's teams.  Throughout the year the club sends players to satellite and pro-stop tournaments.  The biggest tournament for our club team is teh US Open that is scheduled in November. Therefore, our season tracks along with IRT events from early August through May.

What are the club's goals for this year?

Get back in the gym and recruit a women's team. Start teaching racquetball classes again. Get this web page launched and start a recreational men's and women's program.

What is most important about running a competitive racquetball club team?

Recruiting players is most important. The most common complaint made by open-level racquetball collegiate racquetball players is that they don't have anybody to practice with. That complaint is not made by our club players because at any given time we will have between 4 and 8 open players affiliated with our program.

When does the team practice?

Players practice and train on our 4 glass-backed wall courts. Mandatory practices are not scheduled, however, most players choose to practice and train from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Players arrange among themselves when they are able to practice and train.

Where is the club located?

On the campus of Colorado State Pueblo (CSU-Pueblo). The address is 2200 Bonforte Blvd. Pueblo, CO 81001. Call 719-549-2100 or email colostate-pueblo.edu
